Qual Tech Engineer

Customer Sample Screening:  

  • Conducted hand-screening of prototype IC units on ATE and bench EVM platforms to support customer sample demand.  
  • Specialized in high-throughput testing of smaller package sizes, including WCSP packages on the order of 1.5 mm dimension. 
  • Such hand activity routinely involved quantities in the thousands at rates ranging from 100 units per hour to 500 units per hour and demanded innovation of customized testing approaches and apparatus.

Product Qualification:  

  • Conducted baseline testing of IC units to support qualification submissions.  
  • Retrieved, processed and returned qualification jobs on a semi-autonomous basis.  
  • Provided engineering staff with full documentation of all activities conducted, data logs created, and summaries of fail modes for failing units.  
  • Conducted engineering characterization testing, including tri-temp testing for commercial, automotive and industrial products.

Customer Return Evaluations:  

  • Received customer return units, tested them, and supplied engineering staff with full documentation of the results obtained.  
  • Communicated outcomes to test and quality-assurance engineers.

Test Hardware Validation:  

  • Assembled load boards, burn-in boards and sockets as required.  
  • Conducted GR&R/TCS and Voltage-Spike testing of load boards to support functional certification needed in Dallas prior to RTM.
